Tales by Candle Light

So I've been working on building a bible for an anthology series under the name "Tales by Candle Light". Here is some insight to the concept development. I started with the initial artwork, then added some subtle parallax and rain in After Effects. Minimal animation were added to the cat and little girl just to add a bit of life into the shot. Over all its a quick little exercise to test out the mood and atmosphere of the scene.

A little bit about Tales by Candle Light.

The series revolves around Angie and her cat General LeDoux. The Witch and her familiar have the utmost interest in all stories of the macabre and therefore spend most of their time in Angie's room reading her vast selection of books. Throughout each episode we will see Angie and General read through 3 separate stories connected by an overarching theme.
